Unipath unveils humanoid robot for household chores

The Chinese company Unipath has unveiled a humanoid robot designed to perform various household chores. In demonstration videos, the robot is shown moving through a residential environment, preparing and serving food, cleaning floors, making beds, and operating household appliances.

This development aligns with a national initiative launched by China in June, which aims to deploy more than 10,000 humanoid robots across over 100 different application scenarios by the end of 2026. The initiative seeks to expand robotics usage into sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, and healthcare.

While Unipath has not yet announced a release date or official pricing for its robot, other competitors are already entering the market. For instance, the NEO robot is currently available for pre-order at a price of 20,000 for early access.
