UNIPVC joins national network for responsible AI use in higher education

The Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo (UNIPVC) has joined the DEFIA Portugal Network, a national initiative dedicated to promoting the ethical, responsible, and sustainable use of artificial intelligence in higher education. Coordinated by the University of Coimbra, the network aims to involve academic institutions in defining principles and developing collaborative responses to digital transformation challenges.

UNIPVC is already implementing measures to guide its academic community, having published specific guides for faculty and students regarding the use of generative AI. These resources are designed to help integrate technological tools while maintaining transparency, responsibility, and critical thinking in teaching, research, and knowledge production.
