Uniqlo launches Monchhichi embroidery customization service
Uniqlo has announced a new collaboration with the iconic character Monchhichi for its RE. UNIQLO STUDIO clothing remake service. Starting October 23, 2026, customers can personalize their Uniqlo items with 14 different Monchhichi-themed embroidery designs, including various expressions, poses, and the official logo.
Some embroidery options allow for customization using 19 different thread colors. The service applies to both newly purchased and previously owned Uniqlo items, though certain categories such as designer collaborations, baby products, and underwear are excluded.
Additionally, the Uniqlo UTme! DIY customization service will launch 88 new Monchhichi-themed patterns for T-shirts and tote bags. Monchhichi, originally released by Sekiguchi in 1974, celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024 and has sold over 100 million units globally.
