UNIREMHOS completes external evaluation of School of Medicine

The Universidad Eugenio María de Hostos (UNIREMHOS) has completed an external evaluation process for its School of Medicine. The assessment took place on August 13, 14, and 17, 2026, involving evaluators from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT).

The evaluation aimed to verify the information provided in the School of Medicine’s self-evaluation report through on-site inspections. UNIREMHOS Rector Dr. Wady Ramírez noted that the process was characterized by transparency and rigor, serving as an opportunity to strengthen academic management and ensure the quality of higher education in the Dominican Republic.

Participants in the process included MESCYT coordinators and evaluators, alongside UNIREMHOS academic leadership, faculty, and administrative staff. The rector emphasized that evaluating medical training programs is vital for preparing health professionals with the necessary competencies to meet national needs.
