UNISKA MAB prepares to launch Faculty of Medicine in 2026

Universitas Islam Kalimantan (UNISKA) Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari is preparing to launch its Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) in 2026. The medical study program is currently in the final stages of the licensing process with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

According to Rector Prof. Dr. H. Mohammad Zainul, the application is undergoing verification by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes), with a plenary meeting scheduled for late September 2026. The university has already received a recommendation from the Ministry of Health regarding laboratory facilities and support infrastructure. Additionally, the Indonesian Association of Teaching Hospitals (ARSPI) has tested the readiness of main and network hospitals to support clinical practice for students.
