Uniswap network activity and token movement show mixed signals

Uniswap is experiencing a significant surge in network adoption, with daily active addresses reaching 14,591, the highest level in a year. This growth is accompanied by a spike in new UNI addresses, marking the largest increase since September 2020. Key drivers for this activity include ecosystem developments such as Aggregator Hooks for Uniswap v4, Volatile Pair Hooks, and the planned Unichain OP Enterprise upgrade.

Despite increased network usage and approximately $89 million in fees generated over the last 30 days, the UNI token faces technical challenges. The price has recently traded around the $7 mark, struggling to reclaim the $7.50 resistance level. While the token maintains support above $6.84, technical indicators like the Relative Strength Index suggest weak buying strength.

On-chain data also shows significant movement of UNI tokens. A wallet linked to Galaxy Digital reportedly withdrew approximately $12 million in UNI from various exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, and OKX, over a six-day period. Additionally, broader exchange data indicates net spot outflows, which some analysts interpret as potential institutional accumulation that could reduce immediate selling pressure.
