Unitalsi pilgrims depart for Lourdes from Treviso and Ticino

Religious pilgrimages to Lourdes are underway for participants from the Treviso and Ticino dioceses.

In the Treviso Diocese, 265 pilgrims, including the sick, families, and volunteers, are traveling to the sanctuary. The group is split between those traveling by train and those flying from Venice. The journey includes religious services, such as a mass celebrated by Bishop Michele Tomasi on the train and rosary recitations led by the bishop.

Meanwhile, approximately 400 people from the Ticino region have begun their pilgrimage. Notably, this year marks the return of the Unitalsi white train service after an eight-year absence, a factor that encouraged many to re-register. The Ticino group includes around 50 sick individuals, clergy led by Bishop Alain de Raemy, medical staff, scouts, and volunteers.
