United Airlines expands ski-country network with new Jackson Hole route

United Airlines is expanding its presence in the mountain resort market, including the addition of a nonstop service from Boston to Jackson Hole for select Saturdays during the winter of 2027. This move highlights United’s growing dominance in the American ski-country travel sector.

Data indicates that United has significantly increased its seat share across 13 key resort airports, rising from 30% in 2019 to 39% in 2026. During the peak month of February, United holds 39% of the seats at western resort airports, outpacing competitors such as Alaska and American Airlines at 18%, Delta at 15%, and Southwest at 6%.

While Denver serves as the primary backbone for this network, United utilizes hubs in Newark, Washington Dulles, Houston, Chicago, and San Francisco to provide national reach to various mountain destinations.
