United Airlines faces scrutiny over Denver lounge hours

United Airlines faces criticism regarding the operating hours of its United Club lounges at Denver International Airport. Reports indicate that several lounges, including those in Concourse A and Club Fly, have been closing as early as 7:00 pm or 8:30 pm. This has caused issues for passengers on late-night and redeye flights to cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, Newark, and Washington.

These reduced hours are reportedly a carryover from pandemic-era adjustments that were never reinstated. This is noted as a significant oversight given that Denver is a major hub and one of United’s most profitable locations.

Access to United’s lounge network, which includes over 45 United Clubs and six United Polaris Lounges, is available through various methods. Travelers can gain entry via specific credit cards, United MileagePlus elite status, Star Alliance Gold status, or by purchasing memberships and passes. While United Clubs offer standard amenities like Wi-Fi and snacks, the premium Polaris Lounges are considered higher-tier offerings.
