United Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Las Vegas

United Airlines flight 1403, a Boeing 757 traveling from Los Angeles to Newark, was forced to make an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Thursday morning. The diversion occurred after the aircraft encountered an engine issue while cruising at 31,000 feet.

All 176 passengers and seven crew members deplaned safely following the landing. Passengers are currently awaiting a replacement flight to Newark Liberty International Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced plans to investigate the cause of the engine failure.
