United Airlines launches nonstop Newark to St. Croix service

United Airlines has introduced a new nonstop flight route connecting Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey to Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. The service officially commenced with its inaugural arrival on 31 October 2026.

The new route provides a direct link between the New York metropolitan area and the US Virgin Islands, eliminating the need for passengers to connect through other mainland US or Caribbean airports. This expansion is intended to support tourism, facilitate business travel, and strengthen connections for residents traveling between the Northeast United States and the island.

The inaugural flight featured four pilots with personal ties to St. Croix, highlighting the aviation links between the Virgin Islands and the United States.
