United Airlines passenger arrested after West Palm Beach airport meltdown

A United Airlines passenger was arrested at West Palm Beach International Airport following a confrontation triggered by a significant flight delay. The passenger was attempting to board United flight 1395 to Newark, which experienced a rolling delay of nearly seven hours.

According to police bodycam footage, the woman arrived at the airport around 9:00 p.m. and began yelling and cursing at airline employees and sheriff’s deputies. During the encounter, she reportedly threatened legal action, claiming her brother was a “big-time attorney” in New Jersey. Deputies noted her behavior appeared potentially influenced by intoxication, and they warned her that her conduct would prevent her from flying.

After refusing to leave and engaging in further verbal altercations with officers, the passenger was issued a one-year airport trespass warning and subsequently arrested. The incident occurred during a period of widespread travel disruptions, with over 12,500 flights delayed or canceled due to storms hitting several major hubs.
