United Airlines postpones Houston-Caracas flights to 2027

United Airlines has postponed the resumption of its direct flight route between Houston and Caracas. The airline has closed reservations for the period between October 6, 2026, and January 11, 2027.

According to global distribution system records reported by AeroRoutes, the first available date for booking the route is now January 12, 2027. This marks the second significant delay for the service.

The route, which utilizes Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, aims to connect George Bush Intercontinental Airport with Simón Bolívar International Airport. This reactivation follows a nearly nine-year suspension of operations between the United States and Venezuela. United Airlines follows American Airlines as the second U.S. carrier to announce the reinstatement of direct flights to the country, intended to facilitate business travel and family reunification.
