United Airlines to launch nonstop Chicago to Bermuda flights

United Airlines will begin nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Bermuda’s L. F. Wade International Airport starting April 3, 2027. The new route will operate weekly on Saturdays using Boeing 737 aircraft.

The service aims to connect the island to the major U.S. travel market in the Midwest. Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, Owen Darrell, stated that the new gateway is an important step in expanding Bermuda’s reach within the United States and strengthening the local tourism industry.

United Airlines officials noted that the Chicago route complements existing service through Newark and New York, providing travelers from the Midwest and beyond easier access to the island. Bookings for the new service opened on October 22.
