United Airlines to resume Tel Aviv flights in September

United Airlines will resume flights to Israel starting September 8, 2026. The airline plans to operate two daily flights between Newark, New Jersey, and Tel Aviv.

United had previously suspended these services due to the conflict with Iran and the temporary closure of Israeli airspace. The resumption of service coincides with the beginning of the holiday season, starting with Rosh Hashanah on September 11.

Other major US carriers have different timelines for returning to the region: Delta Air Lines has canceled its New York and Atlanta connections to Tel Aviv until September 5, while American Airlines does not plan to resume flights to Israel until March 27, 2027. The previous absence of US carriers led to a reliance on Israeli airlines El Al and Arkia.
