United Arab Emirates Boosts Cybersecurity with New Threat Intel Service and Operation Digital Shield

Group-IB, a Dubai‑based cyber‑threat intelligence firm, announced that its adversary‑centric Threat Intelligence solution is now available through AWS Marketplace. The offering lets security teams purchase and deploy the service directly within Amazon Web Services, leveraging Group‑IB’s global research network, AI‑driven analysis and a large cybersecurity data lake. The company, named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cyberthreat Intelligence, highlighted that the solution has supported more than 1,600 law‑enforcement investigations worldwide.

The United Arab Emirates also launched Operation Digital Shield, a joint initiative by Censys and Rilian aimed at strengthening cyber resilience of the nation’s critical infrastructure. The programme provides real‑time internet intelligence, AI‑driven automation and exposure assessments for government entities, essential services and industrial control systems. "The need for proactive cyber defence measures continues to grow," said Meriam ElOuazzani, Vice President – Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Censys. Ryan Elzein of Rilian added that the initiative helps organisations identify sensitive data, understand security gaps and prioritize remediation. Operation Digital Shield will support CERTs, cyber commands and cybersecurity education across the UAE and the broader META region.
