United Arab Emirates celebrates Emirati Women’s Day 2026

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak has issued a message to women across the United Arab Emirates to mark Emirati Women’s Day 2026. In her message, she described women as the ‘pillars of the nation’ and ‘active partners in shaping the future.’ The 2026 observance has expanded from a single day to a month-long celebration, following an earlier announcement by Sheikha Fatima, who founded the occasion in 2015.

In Dubai, the municipality has launched the ‘Athar’ exhibition at Hewi Nad Al Sheba, running from September 7 to 21, 2026. The exhibition, which means ‘impact,’ is designed to showcase the achievements, talents, and businesses of Emirati women. The event serves as a platform for small and medium enterprises and home-based businesses to connect with new audiences.

The exhibition includes interactive workshops for various age groups and abilities, covering fields such as fashion design, perfume making, and handicrafts. Eman Al Falasi, Chairperson of the Dubai Municipality Women's Council, stated that investing in women's capabilities is an investment in the nation's future.
