United Arab Emirates issues emergency missile threat alerts

The United Arab Emirates issued an emergency telephone alert on Tuesday, instructing citizens to seek immediate shelter in secure buildings due to detected missile threats. The Ministry of Interior issued the warning, stating, “In due to the current situation and missile threats, join immediately a safe place in the nearest secure building.”

The Ministry of Defense confirmed it had detected a missile threat directed at the country. This marks the first such alert in a month, following similar warnings in June and July that did not result in successful strikes on UAE territory.

The security situation follows a period of heightened tension in the Middle East. Reports indicate that Tehran has launched nearly 3,000 attacks on the UAE during the initial phase of the conflict, which was triggered by Israeli-American strikes on Iran on February 28. Additionally, oil tankers belonging to the state-owned company ADNOC have been targeted multiple times in recent weeks.
