United Arrows develops humanoid robot apparel with GMO AIR

United Arrows, a subsidiary of Tabaya Holdings, has partnered with GMO AI & Robotics (GMO AIR) to design and develop original clothing for humanoid robots. The collaboration aims to make robots feel more integrated into daily human environments by reducing their intimidating appearance through fashion.

The initial collection features apparel designed specifically for the ‘G1’ humanoid robot developed by Chinese manufacturer Unitree Robotics. The lineup includes a collarless jacket, pants, T-shirts, and scarves. The designs prioritize functionality, incorporating features such as heat dissipation measures, specialized patterns to accommodate robot joints and movement ranges, and scarves intended to conceal cables and non-human chest structures.

United Arrows plans to offer custom designs for various use cases, including casual wear and work uniforms, based on corporate requirements. Orders are expected to be accepted through GMO AIR’s official e-commerce site starting in late November.
