United Bank for Africa graduates 400 youth through professional program

United Bank for Africa (UBA) has graduated approximately 400 young participants from its Graduate Program. The initiative is designed to prepare a new generation of professionals for the challenges of the financial sector and the broader labor market by strengthening technical, professional, and behavioral skills.

Pedro Maranguene, Managing Director of UBA Mozambique, stated that investing in youth is a fundamental component of the bank’s sustainable development strategy. He noted that the program aims to prepare professionals capable of generating impact within their communities and economies. Maranguene specifically highlighted the high performance of Mozambican graduates, suggesting the country possesses a generation ready to take on increasing responsibilities in the financial sector and economic development.

Millaw Uaila, Human Resources Director at UBA Mozambique, emphasized that the program goes beyond technical training to provide integral professional preparation, combining technical knowledge with leadership and interpersonal skills.
