United Democratic Alliance disputes Uhuru Kenyatta's 2022 election claims

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has issued a strong rebuttal to former President Uhuru Kenyatta following his claims that the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga won the 2022 General Election.

In a formal statement, the UDA maintained that President William Ruto won the election decisively and conclusively. The party accused Kenyatta of being unable to accept the results and suggested his comments were an attempt to dwell on past political losses. UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar stated that Kenyatta has spent the last four years failing to come to terms with the outcome.

Additionally, Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse criticized Kenyatta during a rally, urging the former leader to respect the electorate's decision and the current administration. Mutuse argued that Kenyatta's attempts to revive old political scores could create divisions between UDA and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders.
