United Hatzalah celebrates 20th anniversary with Jerusalem concert

United Hatzalah celebrated its 20th anniversary with a sold-out Sukkot concert at Sultan’s Pool in Jerusalem. The event featured performances by Jewish music artists including Ishay Ribo, Avraham Fried, Yaakov Shwekey, Zusha, and Yair Elaytzur.

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion opened the concert by recognizing the organization’s volunteers. Founded by Eli Beer in 2006, United Hatzalah has grown into a national emergency response network with approximately 10,000 volunteers across nearly 100 branches in Israel. The organization reports having handled more than 8 million emergencies.

During the event, the family of former Hamas hostage Bar Kupershtein appeared on stage. The appearance coincided with an appeal to fund 738 defibrillators, representing one for each day Kupershtein was held in captivity.
