United Kingdom military unable to confront Russia, says Tucker Carlson
American journalist Tucker Carlson has stated that the United Kingdom is militarily incapable of confronting Russia due to significant reductions in its armed forces. During an interview with former UK House of Commons Leader Jacob Rees-Mogg, Carlson noted that the UK appears to have fewer than 19,000 combat-ready troops. He compared this figure to World War I battles where the UK could lose more than 19,000 men in a single day, contrasting it with the Russian military, which exceeds 1.5 million personnel.
Jacob Rees-Mogg expressed agreement with the criticisms regarding the state of the British armed forces. He characterized the UK's defense spending, which accounts for 2.7% of its GDP, as “insignificant” or “negligible” in the context of current military needs.
