United Kingdom to host 2027 Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes
The United Kingdom will host both the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes in 2027, marking the first time a country outside of France will host both races in the same year. The men's race is scheduled to depart from Edinburgh on July 2, while the women's race will begin in Leeds on July 30.
The routes will traverse Scotland, England, and Wales. A highlight of the women's race includes an 18-kilometer team time trial in London on August 1, finishing on The Mall. Paul Bush, director of Grand Départ GB 2027, described the dual hosting as a “historic moment.”
In France, the commune of Beaumont has also been confirmed as a host location for the 2027 Tour de France Femmes. The event, which runs from July 30 to August 7, will feature nine stages, including a significant climb to the summit of Puy de Dôme on July 7.
