United Kingdom to provide Ukraine with jet-powered drone blueprints

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced that the United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with blueprints for the production of jet-powered drones. These drones are capable of striking targets up to 241 km inside Russian territory. During his first official trip abroad to Kyiv, Burnham met with the Coalition of the Willing and expressed strong support for the Ukrainian people, comparing their struggle to British resistance against Nazi Germany in the 20th century.

The Kremlin has responded sharply to this decision. Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Britain is now “involved in this war” on the side of the Kyiv regime and accused London of systematically fueling the conflict. Russian military forces are reportedly working to identify and destroy production sites for such weaponry.

Adding to the tension, former Russian diplomat Andrei Fedorov suggested that Moscow is considering a “semi-war response” against targets linked to the British defense industry. He noted that factories producing drones for Ukraine could face attacks from “unknown sources” to maintain plausible deniability. Meanwhile, the EU is preparing a 22nd sanctions package against Russia, which includes measures to freeze the automatic adjustment of the Russian oil price cap until mid-2027 to limit Moscow's energy revenues.
