United Kingdom weather forecast predicts Indian summer
The United Kingdom is experiencing unseasonably warm weather, with forecasters predicting an ‘Indian summer’ for early October. The Met Office describes this phenomenon as a warm, calm spell of weather occurring in autumn.
Forecasts indicate that temperatures could reach 25°C in parts of the country around October 6, significantly higher than the typical October average of 17°C. The South East and East of England are expected to be the warmest regions, while the Midlands and East Anglia may see highs of 23°C to 24°C. Northern England, including Manchester, is projected to reach approximately 20°C.
This period of warmth follows a late September burst where temperatures in London exceeded 27°C. The current weather patterns are driven by a large low-pressure system in the eastern Atlantic, which has created a strong southerly airflow pushing warm air from France and Spain toward the UK shores.
