United Nations condemns Israeli actions in West Bank and Gaza

The United Nations has condemned recent actions by Israel, specifically citing the incitement of violence against Palestinians and the establishment of new settlements in the West Bank. UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned that these plans threaten Palestinian territorial integrity and undermine the possibility of a two-state solution. He urged Israel to comply with multilateral resolutions and the rulings of the International Court of Justice.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric expressed concern over humanitarian conditions, noting that Israeli forces have imposed curfews that prevent thousands of people from accessing basic services. Additionally, the UN denounced ongoing attacks in Gaza.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs also condemned statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir regarding the construction of a hanging facility for death row inmates, labeling the comments as dehumanizing and an incitement to violence that violates international humanitarian law.
