United Nigeria Airlines flight cancellation strands passengers
Passengers traveling from Lagos to Kano on United Nigeria Airlines were left stranded at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Monday following a flight cancellation. The disruption occurred after travelers waited for more than six hours for their scheduled 5:30 p.m. departure.
According to passenger representative Alhassan Indabawa, the aircraft was originally scheduled for a flight to Enugu. After technical issues were resolved, the aircraft was reportedly allocated to Enugu-bound passengers instead of the Kano-bound group. Passengers were told to wait for the aircraft to return from Enugu, but were eventually informed that the flight had been cancelled.
Affected travelers expressed frustration over poor communication and the lack of clear information regarding compensation or alternative travel arrangements. Many passengers noted that the delay impacted time-sensitive commitments such as business engagements and medical appointments.
