United Rentals faces sizable share cuts by Bessemer Group and Jag Capital
Bessemer Group reduced its stake in United Rentals by 56.8% in the first quarter, selling 89,151 shares and ending with 67,796 shares, roughly 0.11% of the company and valued at about $49.4 million.
Jag Capital Management also trimmed its holding, dropping 51.3% in the quarter, selling 9,620 shares and retaining 9,150 shares worth approximately $6.7 million. These reductions are part of broader activity among institutional investors, who together own about 96.3% of United Rentals. Insider sales occurred as well, with CEO Matthew Flannery selling 22,768 shares for roughly $22.4 million during the quarter.
