United States Air Force transports 45 tons of seized drugs from Costa Rica

A United States Air Force C-17 aircraft has transported 45 tons of seized drugs from Costa Rica to the United States for destruction. The operation was conducted as part of a bilateral cooperation agreement between Costa Rican and U.S. authorities.

The transfer involved the Costa Rican Public Ministry, the Judicial Investigation Department (OIJ), and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Costa Rican officials noted that the cooperation is necessary due to local budgetary constraints regarding the destruction of large quantities of seized substances within Costa Rican territory.
