United States charges three individuals extradited from Costa Rica for cocaine conspiracy

The United States Federal Prosecutor's Office for the Middle District of Florida has formally charged two Colombian nationals and one Venezuelan national for conspiring to distribute cocaine into the United States.

The individuals, identified as Andres Felipe Restrepo Uribe, Luis Alberto Siniestra Lozano, and Yon Freddy Sánchez Chavarro, were extradited from Costa Rica on October 1. The charges stem from an incident occurring between May 31 and June 1, 2025, when authorities intercepted a vehicle on Paseo Colón. During the stop, drug control agents discovered five kilograms or more of cocaine hidden in a concealed compartment of the car.

The defendants are now facing criminal proceedings in the Middle District of Florida regarding the conspiracy and the attempted distribution of the narcotics.
