United States considers Patriot missile production license for Ukraine

The United States is considering granting Ukraine a license to manufacture older, less advanced versions of Patriot interceptor missiles. President Donald Trump confirmed that discussions regarding this licensing have begun, noting that while the U.S. is producing more Patriot missiles than ever, the administration must be cautious about sharing sensitive technology that could potentially be used against the U.S. in the future.

Local production of these munitions could reduce Ukraine's reliance on continuous shipments from Western allies, which is critical as Russia intensifies missile and drone attacks.

In parallel, Canada is exploring joining a large-scale European financial scheme to support Ukraine, following a previous announcement of 350 million Canadian dollars dedicated to air defense. This move aims to bolster Kyiv's defensive capabilities ahead of the winter season.
