United States donates patrol vessel to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has donated a refurbished patrol vessel to the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The vessel will be deployed in Neum to monitor and protect the country’s maritime borders and territorial waters on the Adriatic Sea.

Funding for the project was provided by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism, with implementation carried out through the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP). The donation is intended to enhance the capacity of local authorities to respond to security threats and combat transnational crime and terrorism.

This assistance is part of a long-standing partnership between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes ongoing support through equipment donations and professional training to strengthen police and security capacities.
