United States faces critical diesel fuel shortage
The United States is facing a critical diesel fuel shortage, with reserves reportedly down to just 25 days. Industry experts have characterized this level of supply as “absolutely catastrophic,” noting that diesel is essential for the American economy, powering everything from food delivery and agriculture to hospital generators and data centers.
In addition to fuel concerns, logistical disruptions are expected around the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced temporary closures for the Camino Real Bridge to accommodate remembrance ceremonies. Special events and road closures are also anticipated in the New York City area.
