United States faces high missile consumption in Iran conflict

Reports indicate that the United States is experiencing significant depletion of specific missile inventories due to high-intensity conflict. Data suggests that the consumption of precision missiles and anti-missile interceptors during the first five months of the war against Iran has exceeded Pentagon forecasts.

Specifically, inventories of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), and Tomahawk missiles have seen substantial use. The depletion of PrSM is attributed to both high operational intensity and the relatively small initial inventory of this newer system. Despite these shortages, the U.S. maintains long-range offensive capabilities through alternative means, including strategic aviation, guided bombs, JASSM cruise missiles, and attack submarines.
