United States implements new US visa rescheduling limits in Brazil

The United States has implemented new restrictions regarding the scheduling of visa interviews at consulates in Brazil. Applicants are now limited to a total of three cancellations or rescheduling attempts per process.

Once this limit is reached, the system will block any further changes to dates or times. According to the U.S. Consulate General in São Paulo, if an applicant requires a fourth change, they must submit a new visa application, pay a new fee, and schedule new appointments for both the Applicant Service Center (CASV) and the visa interview.

This rule applies to all visa categories. Legal experts advise caution, noting that applicants can no longer frequently reschedule to seek earlier dates without risking their ability to make necessary adjustments later. The limit counts both cancellations and rescheduling attempts collectively.
