United States signs official participation agreement for Expo 2030 Riyadh

The United States and Saudi Arabia have officially signed an agreement confirming U.S. participation as an official participant in Expo 2030 Riyadh. The contract was signed on October 30, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia, by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

The agreement establishes a legal framework for the U.S. to develop its pavilion, which is expected to focus on the technology sector to showcase American innovation and leadership. The event, themed “Foresight for Tomorrow,” is scheduled to take place from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, in Riyadh. The exhibition is projected to attract over 42 million visitors and contribute approximately $70 billion to the Saudi national economy.

This participation reinforces the strategic partnership between the two nations and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The Expo site, located north of Riyadh, will cover nearly 6 million square meters and is planned to be transformed into a permanent urban destination called “Global Village” following the conclusion of the event.
