United States offers $15 million reward to disrupt IRGC financial networks
The United States government has announced a reward of up to $15 million for information that disrupts the financial mechanisms of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Additionally, the State Department’s ‘Rewards for Justice’ program is offering rewards for information regarding three senior IRGC Aerospace Force officials: Ali Asghar Norouzi, Abdullah Mehrabi, and Ahmad Jafarabadi. These individuals are reportedly involved in the development of weapons systems, including drones and missiles.
Parallel to these rewards, the U.S. Treasury Department has implemented new sanctions against eight entities and five individuals. These measures target those allegedly involved in the procurement and distribution of weapons or weapon components for Iran. The Treasury Department stated these actions are part of efforts to disrupt networks facilitating the proliferation of nuclear weapons and to increase the costs for those supporting military procurement networks.
