United States ranks second in average adult wealth, UBS report shows

A UBS global wealth report covering 56 countries, representing 92 % of worldwide adult wealth, places the United States in second position for average wealth per adult at €594,651 (US $696,277), behind Switzerland’s €777,506. Luxembourg follows in third place with €559,170. The report notes that while the U.S. leads in average wealth, median (medial) wealth figures favor several European nations. Luxembourg tops the median list at €336,498, with Belgium and Denmark also among the top ten. Among EU members, Luxembourg ranks first in average wealth, while Italy records the lowest figure among the major EU economies at €238,653. For Croatia, average wealth per adult in 2024 was €76,358, compared with €105,367 in neighboring Slovenia. The data highlights the disparity between average and median wealth distribution across regions, emphasizing that market composition influences the perception of wealth levels.
