US Department of War releases seventh batch of declassified UAP files

The US Department of War has released its seventh tranche of declassified documents regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) through the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). The release includes 28 file units from various agencies, including the Department of Defense, NASA, and the FBI.

Key revelations include a 2002 affidavit from former Roswell Air Base Public Information Officer Walter Haut. Haut describes a 1947 meeting where officials discussed wreckage and non-human bodies recovered near Roswell, New Mexico. He characterized the debris as a unique, paper-thin yet extremely strong material that could not be identified. The files also detail a 2026 sighting of a triangular object in the western United States that traveled at speeds of approximately 1,800 mph without visible propulsion or thermal exhaust.

Additionally, the documents contain historical reports, such as a 1953 pilot sighting over Berlin-Tempelhof, and accounts of phenomena at Skinwalker Ranch in Utah. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that the release aims to provide the American people with direct access to information previously hidden behind classifications.
