United States steps in to support Japanese yen in currency market

The United States announced a direct intervention to support the Japanese yen, marking the first such action in nearly three decades. The move aims to stabilize the yen amid recent market volatility.

In Sweden, local authorities in Lund reported that illegal overnight parking by tourists has become a problem, prompting the municipality to add an extra traffic light to manage the situation. Meanwhile, the regional bus line 131 connecting Malmö’s Värnhem district with Lund’s Bankgatan will be discontinued in December, extending commuters’ travel time. In the nearby municipality of Lomma, residents complained about foul odors and overflowing waste containers, leading the council to schedule an evaluation of waste collection after the summer.

Additional local coverage noted a test of dog‑friendly dining experiences in Malmö and Lund, where four canine testers visited restaurants and cafés.
