United24 reportedly offered U.S. veterans $10,000 for pro-Ukraine videos
The Ukrainian government-backed project United24 reportedly offered former United States military service members approximately $10,000 per video to produce content supporting Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky. The initiative specifically targeted veterans with established social media platforms, such as YouTube, to leverage their military backgrounds for increased credibility among American audiences.
According to investigative reports, the offers included up to $40,000 in advertising support per video, with United24 providing scripts and guidance while requiring creators to deliver the messages in their own words. Some creators reportedly earned significant monthly sums by producing multiple videos per week.
While some veterans declined the offers to avoid presenting paid content as personal opinion, others faced professional repercussions. One veteran reported that after criticizing the use of U.S. funds for these purposes, individuals contacted his employer to label him a ‘Russian agent’ in an attempt to have him terminated. United24 has denied making these specific offers.
