UnitedHealth Group is preparing to report third-quarter results on October 13. Analysts expect adjusted earnings of $4.15 per share, a 42% increase from the previous year, despite projected revenue declines to $111.49 billion. The company is currently managing medical cost pressures and adjusting its Medicare Advantage business, which includes exiting certain plans affecting approximately 390,000 members.

In the technology sector, ASML Holding shares faced selling pressure following the announcement of Mistral AI’s Large 4 model. The software's reported chip design capabilities have led investors to reassess the long-term demand for semiconductor hardware. ASML shares closed down 0.9% at 1,613.40 euros, though the company continues an ongoing share buyback program to support its capital structure.

Regarding asset management, Venture Visionary Partners LLC significantly increased its stake in BlackRock during the third quarter, raising its position by 500.8% to a total of 104,267 shares. Other institutional investors, including Elevation Wealth Partners LLC and Retirement Wealth Solutions LLC, also reported increased holdings in the firm.
