Unitree Robotics expands with Shanghai IPO and new humanoid shipments to Brazil
Chinese robotics firm Unitree Robotics announced it will list shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, offering 40.45 million shares that represent 10 % of the enlarged capital. The IPO, slated for mid‑August, follows a year in which the company reported revenue of 1.7 billion yuan (about US$251 million) and an adjusted profit of 591 million yuan. Founder Wang Xingxing and related parties will retain a majority of voting rights after the offering, providing fresh capital for the firm’s next growth phase amid intensifying U.S.–China tech competition.
In Brazil, distributor Gohobby received a new shipment of Unitree’s humanoid robots, including the R1 model that stands 1.23 m tall and offers 26 degrees of freedom, advanced vision and AI capabilities. Gohobby CEO Adriano Buzaid said the arrival reflects rising demand for AI‑driven automation in industrial, educational and service settings, and highlighted China’s recent move to create a national identification system for humanoid robots to ensure safety and traceability.
