Unitree Robotics launches G1+ humanoid robot

Unitree Robotics has officially released the G1+ humanoid robot, an upgraded version of its G1 series designed for research, demonstration, and continuous operation. The standard version is priced at 95,000 yuan (approximately $13,300 USD).

The G1+ features six major hardware and software upgrades focusing on motion performance, perception, and intelligent interaction. Key improvements include a new +2 DOF neck structure for more natural head movement and an upgraded motor system. Specifically, the shoulder and waist motors have seen a 110% increase in peak torque, while heat generation under the same torque has been reduced by 72%.

For perception, the robot utilizes a dual-vision system consisting of binocular and wide-angle monocular cameras, supplemented by 3D LiDAR and an abdominal wide-angle camera. Interaction capabilities are enhanced through five high-sensitivity touch points on the head and a six-microphone array for far-field voice recognition.

The robot weighs approximately 35kg and offers a battery life of about two hours. For research-intensive needs, the G1+ EDU version provides expanded degrees of freedom (up to 25+45), higher payload capacity, and support for high-performance computing modules like NVIDIA Orin.
