Unitree Robotics sees volatile IPO amid global product expansion

Unitree Robotics, a prominent Chinese humanoid robot manufacturer founded by Wang Xingxing, recently debuted on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market. The company's IPO saw extreme volatility; shares initially surged 629% above the offering price of 150.80 yuan, reaching a peak market capitalization of approximately $66 billion. However, the stock subsequently experienced a sharp decline, losing about 45% of its value from its peak within three trading days.

In tandem with its market expansion, Unitree is advancing its product lineup. GMO AI & Robotics Commerce has announced it will begin domestic sales and support in Japan for three new Unitree models starting August 31, 2026. These include the H2 Plus humanoid robot, designed to support the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T reference platform, the H2-D wheeled dual-arm industrial robot, and the As2-W wheeled quadruped robot. These developments reflect the growing global demand for physical AI and humanoid technology in research and industrial applications.
