Unitree Robotics unveils H2-X humanoid guardian robot

Unitree Robotics has introduced the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian, a humanoid robot designed for personal protection and emergency rescue. Standing 1.8 meters tall and weighing approximately 70 kilograms, the robot is based on the company’s H2 platform.

A promotional video demonstrates the machine performing various high-impact actions, including executing martial arts maneuvers, disarming an attacker with a knife, and jumping from a height of 4 meters. The footage also depicts the robot lifting the front of a vehicle to rescue a person trapped underneath and shielding a pedestrian from an oncoming car.

While the company claims the robot can operate for approximately eight hours in a static standby mode, it has not clarified whether the actions shown in the video were performed autonomously, via remote operation, or through pre-programmed choreography. Additionally, full technical specifications, such as lifting capacity and reaction speeds, have not been released. The company has issued warnings to maintain a safe distance from the robot while it is in operation due to its significant physical strength.
