Unitree Robotics' Shanghai IPO Valued Over $7 B
Chinese humanoid‑robot maker Unitree Robotics (also known as Yushu Technology) is launching an initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s STAR Market. The company plans to issue about 40.45 million new shares, roughly 10 % of its post‑offering capital, at an estimated price of 104 yuan per share. Market estimates put the IPO’s valuation between 50 billion and 56 billion yuan (about $7.4 billion) and the post‑listing market cap could exceed 400 billion yuan.
Unitree aims to raise roughly 42 billion yuan to fund R&D, new production facilities and expansion of its humanoid‑robot line, targeting annual output of up to 20 000 units by 2026. The firm reported 2025 revenue of 1.7 billion yuan and net profit of 591 million yuan, with humanoid robots now accounting for the majority of sales. Founder Wang Xingxing retains control of the company through a weighted‑voting structure.
The IPO comes amid a broader Chinese robot‑industry IPO wave, with fellow humanoid‑robot company AGIBOT also filing for a Hong Kong listing. U.S. regulators have recently added Unitree to a list of Chinese firms deemed to support Beijing’s military, underscoring the strategic importance of the sector.
