UniUSA dominates swimming at 2026 FISU America Games in Lima

Former University of Northern Iowa swimmer Faith Larsen captured four medals – two golds in relays, a silver and a bronze in individual events – in her debut at the 2026 FISU America Games in Lima, Peru. Larsen, a 2025 graduate now serving as an assistant coach, contributed to the United States delegation’s sweeping success.

Team USA, competing as UniUSA, won all 27 swimming events contested through the first two days, securing 64 official medals including 27 golds. The Americans topped the podium in every relay and placed first and second in all four relays, with only Chile’s Elias Ignacio Ardiles breaking the U.S. streak in the men’s 100‑meter butterfly. Individual victories were highlighted by Abby Carlson’s 400‑meter freestyle win and Levi Sandidge’s 400‑meter freestyle double.
