UNIVALE hosts 3rd BIM Immersion for engineering students

UNIVALE engineering courses held the 3rd edition of the BIM Immersion event, focused on the theme “From conception to intelligent management.” The program integrates Building Information Modeling (BIM) into the curricula for Civil and Environmental Engineering to prepare students for digital work environments.

Professor Hernani Santana, the course coordinator, noted that the platform allows for the visualization of project setbacks and the alignment of hydraulic, foundation, and electrical components to save time and money. Guest speaker and alumnus Guilherme Valente emphasized that the technology is increasingly used in Brazil to allow for virtual construction and risk anticipation.
